Supernovae
Supernovae
A supernova is the powerful explosion of a star, briefly becoming extraordinarily bright and releasing enormous amounts of energy and material into space. It represents one of the most dramatic events in stellar evolution.
Supernova Remnants
A supernova remnant is what remains after the explosion: an expanding structure of gas and stellar material interacting with the surrounding interstellar medium. These remnants can remain visible and continue evolving for thousands or even tens of thousands of years.
