Galaxy Groups & Clusters

Galaxies are not randomly distributed throughout the Universe. Gravity brings them together into groups and larger clusters, ranging from small associations of a few galaxies to enormous structures containing thousands of members. These systems offer a fascinating view of the large-scale structure of the Universe, revealing gravitational interactions, galactic evolution and the distribution of matter across cosmic distances.
